Daniel Morgan (who used to live in Middle Hall Farm)  has sent us this photograph, taken circa 1952, in what used to be the field next to the Village Hall . It looks as if it was a May Queen celebration.  The boy in the cowboy outfit is Daniel’s elder brother - does anyone recognise any of the girls?

The donkey's name was Mr Beebee.  He  was very stubborn, only moving when he felt like it - and once got wedged in the doorway of the village shop after being teased by sugarlumps  - anyone have a memory going back that far?
