Defibrillators Installed

Two of the defibrillators are now active, one at the OHMG Community Centre and one at Westend Office Suites. We are still waiting for permission to place the third one at the Co-op.




A huge "Thank You" is due to everyone involved  in obtaining the defibrillators for Eastington.

This includes the British Heart foundation, the Community Heartbeat Trust, the Horse Show and of course Ellie and Julie at the Old Badger - and all of you who contributed towards their generous fund raising efforts. Thanks are also due to Julie Shirley  and the PC  who worked so  hard to make this happen.


These devices have saved many lives - a sudden cardiac arrest can affect anyone and speedy action is vital.  They are very easy to operate (even without special training) as the machine itself will ‘talk’ you through the simple process.

However,  some training courses will be arranged, including the techniques of CPR which may also be required.
