Owen Harris Memorial Ground Charity report

The essential work of the small management and trustee committee continues to maintain and improve facilities for users of the community centre and sports field.

The Annual General Meeting is due in the summer, which will undertake the usual tasks of appointing committee officers and trustees, approving accounts and making an annual report.

There is a request for support for volunteers to help in various ways to continue the task to improve facilities. If you have the time and skills we will be pleased to hear from you.

There are new ideas to improve facilities and also the prospect of new users under consideration, which can involve everyone in their formulation. OHMG continue to work closely with existing main users such as Playgroup, sports groups and regular users of the hall and meeting rooms.

Ron Bomberg

It is with sadness we report the loss of Chairman of Trustees Ron Bomberg, who died on 2 January after a short illness. He will be especially missed by the small team of 8 or 9 people, who look after the building and field for the benefit of all who use the facilities.

Ron provided loyal support and encouragement over many years both in the planning and maintaining the community facility.
