Well, we certainly are having a mixed bag of weather to start the New Year; some sunny days, rain, frost, and even a smattering of snow! But those of us who have dogs have to get out into it whatever the weather.  We have had a few really lovely sunny days, and if you could get out of the wind, it was very warm.

The first meeting of the group was held today at The Kings Head Hotel at 10 am. It was attended by the core-members, Jennie, Ann, Sally and Bill.

• It was an enthusiastic meeting where all members present discussed the latest news on footpath diversions at Pidgemore Farm. The new paths should be in-place by Feb/Mar, once all the necessary legal paperwork has been completed.
• We also talked about the new stiles that will be installed, and other repairs that will be carried out by the County Footpaths Officers contractor, when the land is dry enough for him to proceed.
• We discussed the possibility of producing some maps that would show clearly where walkers could access circular walks of interest with-in the Parish, possibly with some accompanying notes.
• We also talked of ways of getting funding for PROWD's. Jennie has already secured some funding from our Parish Council for repairs and improvements.  Sally will look into the possibility of having some maps printed.

I would like, once again, thank all those people who have supported the PROWD group. We are here to protect, and improve our PROWD heritage, so, please don't hesitate to contact us with your observations and suggestions.
