Eastington Parish Church Choir
We are a small church choir of approximately 10 choristers. We sing at Evensong on a regular basis on the 3rd Sunday of the month. We also sing at extra services during the year, such as Christmas, Easter, All Souls and benefice services as well as at weddings and funerals by special arrangement.
We practise on most Friday evenings from 7.30pm until about 9pm. We aim to enjoy what we do and to that end, within the content of a church choir, we are always open to suggestions as to our repertoire.
If you enjoy singing and would like to join our church choir, then why not get in touch? Please visit the Eastington Parish Church Choir website at www.eastington-parish-church-choir.org.uk or contact either Shirley Baker at sj.baker@talktalk.net or Chris Amys at eastingtonchoir@hotmail.com. We should be delighted to hear from you.
Eastington Church will a hold a special service on Sunday 21st June 2015 at 6 pm as participants in the Royal School of Church Music’s (RSCM) annual Music Sunday; an international celebration of church music and musicians.
Proceeds from a retiring collection will be shared between the church and the RSCM.
St Michael’s Church in Eastington will mark the occasion with a special service celebrating church music, where members of the church choir and congregation will sing some of the UK’s favourite church music.
Following a short service, there will be refreshments and a bring-and-share picnic in the churchyard (weather permitting).
