By the community, for the community

Hello to all residents within Eastington parish.

I would like to take this opportunity to formally introduce myself as your new Neighbourhood warden. Who am I? – Well, before you ask, I’m neither the tennis player of the same name nor am I any good at tennis!

I’m 40 years old and was born and raised in the market town of Ledbury in Herefordshire.  Growing up in a rural area has provided me with the knowledge and experience which will allow me to provide help and assistance with concerns to rural communities.

My previous career was customer service focused, working for a local security company as Operations Supervisor which involved working with the police and local authorities.

In my role as Neighbourhood Warden, I will be acting as the eyes and ears of your community and my aim will be to provide a reassuring presence and help with tackling low level disorder and crime issues, which are important to all local citizens. To achieve this, I will be working with other local stakeholders such as the police, parish council, businesses and most importantly, you.

I’ve been a Neighbourhood warden for 9 years serving other communities within the district.

Whilst Neighbourhood Wardens are not a second police force and only have some delegated enforcement powers, I will report incidents and concerns as and when they happen, and work with other agencies to bring about community betterment.

If you would like to meet me and discuss any issues you may have, then I would be happy to come and visit you at a time which is convenient to you.

I can be contacted using the following methods:

01453 754276 where all messages will be passed onto me.

I look forward to working with you.                                                                                         Andy Murray
