Eastington Playground Project aims to provide an inspiring play area

for all ages in Eastington.

It’s taken over a year of fund raising, planning and negotiations but by the time you read this work will have finally started on the skate ramps. The build should take about 5 weeks and should be complete by the end of April.

The project has proved more complex than we originally hoped and has only got to this point with lots of help and support from Julie our wonderful Parish Clark and the cooperation of the OHMG committee.

Meanwhile we haven’t forgotten about the playground, in the next couple of weeks we will be installing a fantastic climbing frame designed just for us and a sun shelter, this will be followed by some baby swings and a round about.  

So hopefully by the summer holidays we will have lots of new and exciting things to do.

Skate Park update

The Stroud News and Journal took this picture of potential skate park users William, Laurie, Oli  and Thomas - celebrating the planning decision that finally gave the  go ahead.  

 The first job was to remove the ‘bund’ or earth bank on which they are sitting……

….... call in the big digger!

…....and there it was, gone!…    A full day ahead of schedule!
