Messy Lost and Found – June 1st

We will be holding a Messy May/June half term holiday event at 10am on Wednesday 1st June at the church. This will provide the usual mix of craft activities, a song, some sort of talk and/or a video followed by a delicious selection of free home made cakes. This is suitable for all ages. If you want to know who or what was lost and found, you need to come along.

Youth Club

We have decided to let young people who will be going up to secondary school this summer to join the youth club from now onwards. This will hopefully mean that some of those we have contact with through our activities with the schools at both Eastington and Whitminster will start to come along before we lose contact with them at the end of the school year. We are running sleepovers roughly every two months at present to coincide with the Christianity Explored all age Café Church sessions. The next one is likely to be on the weekend of July 2nd/3rd.

It is also likely that we will be organising some youth days out over the summer holidays as we have for several years now including a trip to Southerndown beach in South Wales. We have not planned the dates yet so please keep an eye on the church web pages or make contact nearer the time.

Sunday Youth Bible Study Group

It's not as boring as it sounds and perhaps someone will come up with a hoopy name at some point. The Spring Harvest trip this year triggered a level of interest among a group of our young people, which has resulted in us starting a youth session in parallel with our 11am Sunday morning service. Not only were some of the young people impressed by witnessing the power of prayer at Spring Harvest, they have seen it work when they have prayed now that they are back too. Liz, our Youth & Family Worker, leads the sessions, which are designed to be fun and engaging.

Out on the Doors

Now the evenings are light, the Tuesday Evening Bible Study House Group are planning to go out on the streets to meet people on selected Tuesday evenings over the summer to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.
