Absolutely FREE!
We are a group of people (all shapes and sizes) with different fitness targets who meet at least once a week during term time to exercise in the great outdoors. We welcome anyone out there who wishes to get started with running and doesn't know how, or anyone who is currently running and needs some encouragement and some company!
Recently we've been delighted to receive many new starters so you won't be the only beginner! The evenings are beautiful now and the routes will take us to many pretty and interesting places.
We usually have three running speeds...pick a group that suits you. If you are a new starter I will stay with you the whole time to show you the technique or until you feel happy. There will be others put with you to match your speed. No one is left alone. We have a very strong and caring ethos in Jollies and everyone looks after each other. We usually walk/jog 7k or less. We have our stunning rapacious racers who fly off into the distance running approximately 12k or more. Our middle group usually jog/run 10k.
Don't be put off by terms like 'jogging' or 'running', we all started by brisk walking or walking then jogging short distances. You will be amazed at how quickly you get stronger and faster, it really is incredibly exciting! So, get your trainers on and get yourself down to the Co-op on Wednesday! We look forward to meeting you!
