If your life is easy and you are happy with everything – you may not want to come to this:

Starting on Tuesday 6th of June for seven weeks, we will be running a new weekly series called LIFE EXPLORED at Eastington Methodist Church.

It’s an exposé of the little gods that promise us so much happiness, yet deliver so little. As it explores the Bible story (creation, fall, redemption, new creation), Life Explored shows how our deepest desires for happiness can only be satisfied in one person, Jesus Christ. The best gift God can give us is himself.

Youth Club

The youth club operates on Friday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00pm and is open to young people between 11 and 18. Those still at primary school who are going up to secondary school this summer are welcome to join now. Subs are 75p and include a drink; there is also a tuck shop.

In addition to the weekly sessions, we organise various outings and ones coming up include:

Youth Barn Event, Coln St Aldwyns 1:00 – 7:30pm with a picnic (provided) followed by an afternoon of fun on the farm including rodeo-bale racing and water games. There will be a BBQ at 5.30pm (£2 for burger or sausage and drink) followed by barn worship with Matt Gatt and his band. There will also be various speakers.

Summer Days Out probably to Southerndown Beach and a Welsh Waterfall walk on dates to be set.

“EWEnique “ District Youth Weekend  based in Nailsea  from Friday  Oct 13th to Sunday Oct 15th

Café Church

Our Sunday morning services take place at 11:00am and usually last for just over an hour. They are followed by teas & coffee for those that want to stay and chat for a while.

The second Sunday of the month is a Café Church where tea, coffee and other drinks suitable for children are provided at the start in a much less formal setting with people seated around tables.

There is a craft activity and colouring for the children. This is followed by splendiferous cakes and another chance for drinks. The theme at the May Café Church was the ascension and the craft activity was colouring in a picture of Jesus and writing a message on the back. These were then tied to helium balloons and released (see picture).

The June theme is Pentecost (the coming of the Holy Spirit) and then in July, we will be exploring the Good News.
