Dear Readers

                      - Welcome to this special, bumper edition of the ECN!

We are delighted to celebrate the recent Egg Hunt as a great example of our Community coming together -  both to create and to enjoy - and the 28th  Annual Spring Flower show, too - one of our many long-standing traditions.

This month also sees the opening of the new Skate Park and extra playground facilities at Snakey Lane. A fantastic achievement.

Our thanks to everyone involved in all our sizzling village projects.

With so much going on here, it might seem odd to see the word ‘Frampton’ so often in an Eastington Magazine!  However note that the Beavers and Cubs are run by Kim Jones (of Eastington)  and many of our local children do attend there - but indeed, there are many social activities in Frampton to which we are welcome.

We do, of course, have many active and excellent groups of our own,  but there is always scope for more!  We are indebted to Anna-Marie for launching the new Ladies of Eastington Social Group this month.  (Go Ladies! )  And also to Jo-anne for revitalising KER at this time, to unite the voices of those opposed to the  Ecotricity proposals.

Do you have a passion?  Could you start a group? Eastington has excellent facilities both at the Village Hall and the Community centre, and you may find that there are resources available to you.  We would be very happy to give you any information  we can - and of course publicity and a showcase for your activities.

Jan, Mary and Tom, Your ECN Editors
